Criminal Court Sets May 13 To Look Into Citizen’s Case Linked To Daesh

The Criminal Court set May 13, 2018, to look into the case of a Kuwaiti who has been charged with joining the Islamic State or the so-called DAESH and the ‘Ahrar Al-Sham’ terrorist group, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspect, identified on as AM, has admitted to the charge  during interrogation by the State Security. He said he worked as imam and a jurist preacher in the organization since 2013.

He added, he entered Syria illegally and took part in a military course and receiving training in assembling and disassembling weapons and use of ammunition.

He also taught legal and jurisprudential lessons to the many new recruits in the organization at different intervals at various training camps. He said he also urged people to join the organization and instilled in the new recruits the idea of holy war and persuaded people to join DAESH.

The suspect was arrested at the Kuwait International Airport by the State Security on Feb 28, 2018 when he came aboard the Turkish Airlines from Istanbul.
