Criminal Court Acquitted Four Kuwaitis Who Assaulted Officers From Special Forces

The Criminal Court acquitted four Kuwaitis who were accused of assaulting officers from the Special Forces, carrying weapons and damaging police patrol vehicles. According to the case file, the Public Prosecution accused the four citizens of assaulting officers from the Special Forces while the latter were carrying out their duties of dispersing an illegal gathering.

They were also accused of carrying weapons while participating in the demonstration and recklessly driving a car with a single number plate in a manner that endangered lives and properties. In addition, the suspects were accused of blocking traffic and damaging police patrol vehicles.

Two of the suspects were accused of helping others flee from the location. During the court session, their defense counsel Attorney Mohammad Mohsen Al-Mutairi stressed the absence of any link between his clients and the charges leveled against them due to lack of substantial evidences, adding that the charges against his clients were made out of vendetta.
