02 May 2019 Crime News

The Al-Awazem tribe has raised KD 10 million so that the son of the tribe Khaled Naga Al-Azmi can pay the blood money to the heirs of Hedayat Al-Sultan and to pardon the convict and set him free, after he had served 19 years behind bars reports Al-Qabas daily.

The head of the fundraising campaign Khalid Rifai said, “Thanks to God and the sons of the Al-Awazem tribe and the good people of the tribes and families who donated wholeheartedly to spare the life of the Al-Awazem son.” However, the rumors about the waiver by the family of the deceased have been denied stressing that “this is completely incorrect”.

He said Khaled will be with his family Sunday, God willing, after the blood money is paid as per the administrative procedures laid down by the ministries of Justice and Interior.
