Drug Addict Stabbing Father And Brother And Then Attempting To Commit Suicide

An unidentified young man, believed to be in his 30s, is undergoing treatment at a hospital under heavy police guard, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the daily the suspect is charged with stabbing his father, his sibling and then attempting to commit suicide by stabbing himself after feeling guilty of what he had done. The daily added, police received a report about the incident and rushed to the house of the victims in Hawalli and found three people bleeding from stab wounds.

Police investigations revealed that one of them was the suspect and that he stabbed the father because he refused to give money to buy the drugs and also stabbed his brother apparently when he tried to separate both men. Police records also show the suspect has a criminal record of drug abuse. The three injured men have been admitted to the intensive care unit.

Three of the injured were seen as stabbed and found to be a father and two sons. The source said police are waiting for the suspect to recover to complete investigations with him to find out the details.
