Covishield Is Approved In Kuwait; Indians Can Update Vaccine Certificate Online By Adding Passport Number

The Embassy of India issued a press release, reiterating that that No Indian nationals with COVISHIELD (Oxford/AstraZeneca) vaccination certificates will face any difficulties in travel to the State of Kuwait if they meet other requirements such as valid residency permit and job contract and once Kuwait opens entry for Indian nationals.

The Embassy informed that COVISHIELD is the same as Oxford/AstraZeneca and COVISHIELD (Oxford/AstraZeneca) is an approved vaccine in the State of Kuwait.

The modalities for entry of foreign nationals to Kuwait has not been announced by the concerned authorities. Embassy recommends those who planning to travel to Kuwait to buy their air tickets only after necessary clearances are obtained from the concerned authorities of the State of Kuwait.

It is advised that registration should be done by those who are fully vaccinated and by uploading the final vaccination certificate, issued by the concerned authorities of the respective State Government or Government of India, Embassy said. For those who have already submitted the first dose certificate, they can make necessary modifications using the same official link and upload the final vaccination certificate. You could also upload a scanned copy of both the certificates as part of single pdf file of so long as it is within the set file size of 500 KB. Meanwhile, the Indian nationals can update their vaccine certificate by adding Passport number on it, Embassy said. This feature has been enabled by the Government of India. A step by step procedure is provided below for ready reference. Please kindly note that modifications can only be carried out once, so utmost care has to be taken while filling up the form.

• Select Raise a Issue

• Select the passport option

• Select the person from the drop down menu

• Enter passport number

• Submit

• You will receive the new certificate.
