Court Sentences Two Moroccans To Life Imprisonment For Killing Kuwaiti Citizen
A court in Morocco has sentenced two Moroccans to life imprisonment for the murder of a Kuwaiti in April 2015. The court has also demanded to pay compensation after the defense lawyers proved to the court the convicts sneaked into the villa of the victim in Casa Blanca, tied the victim, beat him to death and escaped with the safe. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Criminal Court Thursday sentenced Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Company for land reclamation Ahmed Abdulsalam Kora, and former Minister of Irrigation Mohammed Nasr Allam, to 7 years imprisonment for embezzling 37,126 billion Egyptian pounds of public money, reports Al-Rai daily. The company is also said to have 26,000 acres of land for urban activity at a high price, the land that is meant for agricultural activity. In another case, the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland has overturned a lawsuit which was filed by a Qatari firm and issued a final ruling (not subjected to appeal) in favor of Jordan’s Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), in the case known as the ‘Stake in the Housing Bank’, reports Al-Rai daily. The Jordanian judicial authorities have begun initiatives to hunt down the Kuwaiti Hamad Al-Haroun and Qatari Ali Al-Yafei and produce them before the Swiss courts to file for compensation for causing huge losses and the criminal nature of the case.
