Court Sentenced A Man To Pay Kd 800 As Monthly Stipend To His Wife

The Jaafariya Court issued a verdict to oblige a man to pay KD 800 on monthly basis to cater for the needs of his children including clothing and food starting from the date of the verdict. The case was filed against the man by Lawyer Bushra Al-Hindal on behalf of her client “the wife”, demanding the man to cater for the needs of his six children whom he had abandoned in the custody of his wife. She explained that the monthly salary of the man is more than KD 3,000 and he has no financial obligations to excuse him from his parental duty. Lawyer Al- Hindal said his children are dire need of their father’s support, given the increasing cost of living in the country.
