Court Sentenced A Kuwaiti Citizen To 7 Years Imprisonment For Raping His Maid

The Criminal Court sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to seven-year imprisonment with hard labor for raping and threatening his domestic helper, reports Al-Qabas daily. The Public Prosecution charged the citizen of raping the housemaid after tying up her hands. The accused had denied the allegations. The prosecution called for a death sentence by hanging. Representing the victim was Lawyer Dana Nasrallah who presented her defense in a manner that was consistent with the findings of the forensic report which discovered DNA belonging to the accused. Lawyer Nasrallah demanded that the defendant must be punished in accordance with Article 186 of the Penal Code.
