Court Ordered A Famous Readymade Garment Company To Pay Worker's Indemnity

Labor Section at the Court of First Instance ordered a famous readymade garment company to pay a salesman who served the company for 24 years KD 7,000 indemnity. The case file indicates Lawyer Khawlah Al-Hasawi sued the company on behalf of her client who joined the company as a salesman in 1993 on a monthly salary of KD 210. He worked for the company until the last day in 2013 when the company disengaged him for unknown reasons. The company did not pay him the end of service allowance, unpaid salaries, overtime allowance, public holidays allowance and other entitlements. The man was forced to approach the court after futile reconciliatory moves.
