Court Of Appeals Overturns 7-year Sentence For Teacher's Bank Card Theft

Appeals Court overturns a young man's 7-year prison sentence for stealing a teacher's bank card and using it to buy coffee and refuel his vehicle. Instead, they have opted not to impose any punishment on him.

Initially, the prosecution charged the defendant with forging an official document after he purchased coffee for himself and his friends with the stolen card. A gas station had also refueled his vehicle with the card.

He appealed the court's decision, which sentenced him to 7 years in prison, and a teacher testified in his favor. Thus, the Court of Appeals ruled that the imprisonment sentence should be annulled and no punishment should be imposed.
