Court Of Appeal Upheld Death Sentence For Murdering 2 Indians Last Year

The court of appeal upheld a death sentence issued against the prime suspect in the armed robbery and the gunning down of two Indian security guards at a vegetable market in Sulaibiya last year. The criminal court had sentenced the prime suspect, a 21-year-old bedoon, to death, the second, a 17-year-old Arab, to 10 years in prison and fined the third and fourth suspects KD 500 each for the armed robbery at the market.

Earlier in April 2014, two Indian nationals were gunned down in an apparent robbery attempt at Sulaibiya vegetable market.
