The Civil Circuit of the Misdemeanor Court has ordered a general trading and contracting company to pay compensation of KD 26,000, which is the cost of a villa in Georgia, and KD 5,000 for moral damages to a Kuwaiti woman, says Al-Seyassah.

The company alleged that the contract signed between the two parties for selling and investing in the residential sector of Georgia stipulates that the second party was to receive the unit at a specified date. In the event of renouncement after signing the contract, the first party had the right to do what is suitable with the unit without the objection of the second party.

The contract also stated that the first party has the right to keep 30 percent of the contract value for the damages incurred by the renouncement, to which the second party should not object. The counsel to the Kuwaiti woman Lawyer Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan called for the dismissal of the case and annulment of the contract. He demanded that the money paid by his client should be returned for the losses due to her not proceeding with the contract
