Court Has Acquitted Tv Anchor Of Broadcasting And Spreading Fake News

The Court of Cassation has acquitted television presenter Ayesha Al-Rashid of broadcasting and spreading fake news, charges which she denied vehemently. Previously, the Criminal Court sentenced Al-Rashid to three years in jail and imposed guarantee of KD 1,000 to suspend implementation of the verdict. Al-Rashid, in her capacity as news presenter in one of the channels on Twitter together with the producer of the channel, was accused mentioning than an Iranian general entered Kuwait during the last power blackout which hit the country.
