Court Discarded Request Submitted By A Woman Seeking A Sum Of Kd 150000 From The Estranged Husband

A Kuwaiti court of law discarded request submitted by a woman seeking a sum of KD 150,000 from the estranged husband and his sibling. The woman implored the court to oblige the husband and brother in-law to pay KD 140,000 and KD 10,000 respectively to make up for their debt. She supported the claim with documents proving bank transfers made to the duo. Lawyer Zainab Al-Ramezi representing the husband argued the bank statement was not enough to determine the purpose the money had served, especially as the plaintiff could not prove how the money became a debt on the defendant. She challenged the plaintiff to prove her case beyond doubt since her testimony was insufficient to indict the defendant.
