Court Adjourned A Case Filed Against A Kuwaiti Hacker

The Criminal Court adjourned to March 27 the State Security case filed against a Kuwaiti hacker who was accused of joining DAESH terrorist organization and promoting its ideology via Internet. According to the case file, Ministry of Interior had announced the arrest of a 1990-born Kuwaiti citizen, identified as A.N., who is an employee of a state institution. He was accused of using a computer of his workplace to hack the official websites of friendly and sisterly countries and promote DAESH ideology with the help of accomplices. Detectives, after months of observing the suspect, had caught him redhanded while he was hacking an official website. When questioned, the suspect confessed to committing the crimes and revealed details about his three accomplices. With the cooperation of Iranian and Jordanian authorities, two of the suspects who were in Iraq and the third in Jordan were arrested. The suspects were then referred to the Public Prosecution from where they were sent to the court following completion of investigations.
