The Misdemeanor Court has acquitted the preacher Othman Al-Khamis of his alleged contempt for Al-Ja’afari Doctrine on social media “Twitter” where he described the sect as going astray. Before delivering the verdict, the presiding judge said the emergence of religious sects, societies and groups is due to contradicting opinions of scholars and Imams, in addition to differences in environment and civilization of the nationalities practicing the religion.

The judge believes the division in Islam is low compared to other religions, and emphasized that all Islamic sects believe in oneness of Allah the Almighty, sanctity of the Holy Qu’ran, Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as messenger of Allah, and using Holy Kaaba as the only Qiblah (direction) for obligatory prayers. He reiterated the sects do not disagree on fundamental aspects of the religion but only differ in certain secondary aspects, indicating there is no point for aggression and non constructive culture of revenge in society.
