Court Acquitted An Egyptian Expat Who Was Accused Of Stabbing An Asian Expat

The Misdemeanor Court has acquitted an Egyptian expatriate who was accused of stabbing an Asian expatriate and robbing him of KD 120 cash and his mobile phone in Khaitan area. The Public Prosecution had charged the suspect with stealing KD 120 cash and mobile phone violently from the victim. He was also accused of stabbing the victim before fl eeing the scene. The victim supported the claim with a medical report. However, the defense counsel Lawyer Esmat Al-Kharboutli countered the allegation, saying there was no concrete proof to indict her client. She accused the prosecution officer of doing a shoddy job, stressing that the testimonies of the witnesses contradicted the documented statements.
