Court Acquitted A Kuwaiti Citizen Who Was Accused Of Possessing Hashish And Two Types Of Illicit Drugs

The Penal Circuit at the Court of Appeals acquitted a Kuwaiti citizen who was accused of possessing hashish and two types of illicit drugs methamphetamine and Chlonaziban – for consumption and sale without official authorization. According to the case file, the prosecution officer saw the suspect standing in a desert and approached him for verification of identity when he noticed a sachet containing the illicit drugs fall from him in the process. This prompted the officer to search the suspect especially after observing his disoriented state and nervousness. However, the defense counsel Lawyer Talal Sabr Al-Enezi faulted the evidences submitted against his client. He said the procedures leading to arrest of his client contravened provisions of Laws No. 43-44 and 53-57 concerning legal procedures and penal courts.
