Court Acquitted A Citizen Of Raiding A Livestock Pen
The Criminal Court acquitted a citizen of raiding a livestock pen belonging to his friend and making away with the contents. According to the plaintiff, he discovered the contents of his livestock pen located in Salmi area had been stolen by a person who broke the front door. He explained the suspect made away with KD 3,000 cash, and that another friend had seen the accused driving away in a car belonging to some individuals who were seen at the livestock pen when the crime was perpetrated. Attorney Yusuf Al-Tamimi from the office of Lawyer Khawlah Al-Hasawi attended the session and defended the accused. He argued that investigations conducted were not valid as they didn’t point to any evidence against his client. The court concluded the testimony of the witness was full of ambiguities, while the accused denied perpetrating the crime from the outset.
