Court Acquitted A Citizen For Beating His Compatriot
The Criminal Court acquitted a citizen of beating his compatriot on the Second Ring Road due to a dispute concerning traffic movement. The court referred the lawsuit to the civil circuit. The plaintiff said he was driving his car along the Second Ring Road when he had an argument with the defendant over the right of way. He explained that the defendant left his vehicle and physically attacked him using a knife through which he was injured in the left shoulder and arm. He added the defendant gave him severe beating. Attorney Ali Al-Alanda, on behalf of the plaintiff, requested temporary compensation of KD 5001, saying his client suffered material and moral damages due to the attack.
