Court Acquitted A Blogger

22 November 2017 Crime News

The Misdemeanor Court has acquitted a Kuwaiti man of insulting and defaming a famous personality on social networking site “Snapchat”. The Public Prosecution Department charged the defendant of deliberately using his mobile phone to send aggressive and demeaning messages to the concerned personality. He allegedly posted for public view video clips whose content could tarnish the image of the personality. Lawyer En’am Haider in his defense exonerated the citizen, saying he didn’t have any link with the videos. She insisted her client consistently denied the allegation from the onset, while the investigation was not thorough enough to implicate him.
