Cops Arrested 5 Men,who Tried To Kidnap A Kuwaiti Citizen

Hawally Public Prosecutor has ordered Hawally Investigation Department to arrest five unknown individuals who tried to kidnap a Kuwaiti citizen.

According to security sources, the victim had provided details of the suspects’ vehicle, after which securitymen launched a search for vehicles matching the description given by the victim.

A case No. 84/ 2020 of kidnap attempt was registered at Salmiya Police Station. The 1984-born Kuwaiti citizen explained that he was walking in Salmiya area when a salon car with an unclear number plate and with five individuals inside had stopped next to him.

They demanded to see his civil ID, and when he asked them to show theirs, they claimed they are from the State Security Department. When he insisted for them to show their ID, one of them showed a military ID card that does not belong to Ministry of Interior or the State Security Department.

A quarrel broke out between them, and the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and tried to push him into it. When the citizen started shouting for help from passersby, the suspects dumped him and fl ed from the location
