Cop Assaults Kuwaiti Woman

A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Al-Zour Police Station accusing a police colonel, of assaulting her inside a patrol car following her arrest, reports Al-Rai daily.

In her complaint, the woman claimed after spending the weekend at the chalets she was stopped at a checkpoint by the officer and then taken to the patrol car, insulted, harassed and assaulted during a discussion between them.

She claimed she was wanted by law because she had been sentenced in absentia in a financial case. She added, she was then taken to the Sentences Enforcement Department where she paid the money and filed a complaint against the officer. The complainant has submitted a medical report to substantiate her claim, and the number of the police patrol, and has requested to see the CCTV footage of the camera which is installed inside the police vehicle.
