Compensation For Victim Who Sustained Injuries During Road Accident

11 May 2016 Kuwait

The Commercial Section of the Court of First Instance ordered a Kuwaiti man and an insurance company to pay comprehensive compensation worth KD 723,000 to the father of a Kuwaiti minor who sustained injuries during a road accident caused by the citizen.

The father was awarded the compensation because his son is a minor, due to which he is naturally responsible for taking care of the boy.

Attorney Zaid Al-Khabbaz filed the lawsuit on behalf of the father and requested the need for the defendants the Kuwaiti citizen and the insurance company to provide sufficient funds for a medical vehicle and life salaries from the date of the accident as well as compensations worth KD 1 million for physical and emotional damages the minor sustained.

He accused the Kuwaiti defendant of driving recklessly and hitting the vehicle which was conveying the plaintiff and his son after which the boy became unconscious and was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital.
