Compensation For Damages Caused By Floods Will Be Allocated Within The Next Couple Of Weeks
MP Adel Al- Damkhi chairman of the parliamentary committee tasked to investigate the flood crisis has disclosed that compensation for damages caused by floods will be allocated within the next couple of weeks.
He said Minister of Public Works Jenan Boushehri has informed him that reports regarding house damages have been finalized and referred to the Cabinet for approval of compensation.
As for vehicle damages exceeding KD3,000; the compensation amount is being prepared and those concerned should expect disbursement within the next few weeks, he added.
Furthermore, the parliamentary Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee approved Wednesday the proposal to allow female Kuwaiti diplomats to receive the same privileges as their male counterparts, including the issuance of diplomatic passports for their children. The committee also discussed the interpellation motion submitted by MP Abdulkareem Al-Kandari against HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah but it did not divulge any details other than distributing the government’s position memo to members of the committee for revision.
