Committee Formed To Investigate Fake Certificates To Prepare A Report With Names Of The Individuals
Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Fares has requested members of the Fatwa and Legislation Department who are part of the committee formed to investigate fake certificates to prepare a report with names of the individuals who helped in sending a group of people overseas to obtain fake certificates from the American University in Athena, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable sources.
They explained that Dr Al-Fares will refer those who have been proven to hold fake certificates to the Public Prosecution. Investigations on other individuals who obtained doctorate and masters degree certificates while they were serving academic institutions are ongoing. Dr Al-Fares will form another committee to investigate the appointments in Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in the last four years and check some certificates based on complaints received in this regard.

Other sources revealed that the Administrative Court issued a preliminary ruling to annul the decision of Kuwait University to appoint an assistant dean in a faculty.
;Director of Legal Affairs at Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) Sami Al-Rowaished revealed that nearly KD 26 million was sent to the State Treasury following suspension of fake appointments of national labor in the private sector and discovery of many cases in this file, reports Al-Rai daily.
He explained that 229 companies which were suspected to be involved in fake appointments of national labor were discovered and the services of 3,622 such individuals were terminated as part of the steps to eliminate this phenomenon. About 150 judicial verdicts on cases related to public funds were issued in favor of MGRP so that the amounts that were illegally disbursed during the first half of this year can be retrieved.
Al-Rowaished revealed that the statuses of 914 individuals have been modified and more than KD 1.48 million have been retrieved from them, adding that preparations are ongoing to retrieve the remaining amounts.
