Committee Favors The Use Of The Smart App For Reporting Minor Accidents

The Parliament's Interior and Defense Committee has approved a proposal to create a smartphone application on the Ministry of Interior's website, through which vehicle drivers can report minor traffic accidents by photographing the scene, entering the vehicle numbers involved in the accident, and receiving the accident report via e-mail or SMS.

Minor traffic accidents (if there are no injuries) cause traffic jams, according to MP Muhammad Al-proposal, Huwaila's which was approved by the committee, because the parties involved in the accident refuse to move their vehicles until a police patrol arrives at the scene of the accident, reports a local Arabic daily.

As a result, the processes for reporting incidents must be simple. It is necessary to take advantage of technological advancements in the field of communications and the use of smartphones to report minor traffic accidents by photographing the accident and receiving the report via e-mail, as many countries do, which will undoubtedly save the security apparatus a great deal of time and effort. This will also aid in the elimination of traffic congestion caused by small accidents.
