Commerce Ministry Issues Warning To Luxury Car Dealers

An agency that specialises in the selling of luxury automobiles has received a warning from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to settle all claims owing to its clients or else face legal and regulatory repercussions. According to a local Arabic newspaper, this occurred as a result of the ministry receiving more than 60 complaints regarding the office's inability to carry out its commitments with clients who had contracted for it to purchase automobiles from them.

The newspaper has uncovered that a significant number of residents used this office to purchase luxury automobiles from agencies after receiving incentives that were less than 30% of the cars' market worth. By claiming that the delivery of their autos was delayed as a result of, the complainants asked for extra time.

According to the sources, more than 60 people protested to the office after each session, alleging that it had broken its agreement with them. The sources made it clear that one of the customers' claims varied in value from 250 to 300 thousand dinars even though they did not disclose the dollar amount of the entire complaints.

According to the sources, "the ministry authorities" sent the office's owners a warning to deliver the contracted automobiles as soon as possible, return the money, or get ready to face legal and regulatory consequences. The ministry has already started responding to certain concerns, but as of yet, the claims file for all of the contractors has not been closed.
