Closure Of Children Activities And Summer Clubs To Cause Huge Losses

Owners of summer sports clubs and nurseries revealed that more than 35,000 children would be affected by the recent cabinet decision to close all summer clubs starting from July 25, in addition to the loss of jobs for citizens and residents, Al Qabas reported.

Owners of clubs and nurseries told the daily that the decision came in an ill-considered manner and that the financial losses it will cause will not be less than KD 15 million related to rents of facilities and contracts concluded between parents, clubs, and others.

And they added that the problem is not only financial but will be related to affecting the psyche of children who set out after a closure of nearly two years, in addition to putting pressure on parents, as they will have to be with their children and leave their work, as many of them depend on clubs.
