Cid Have Arrested A Three-man Gang For Breaking Into Vehicles
Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a three-man gang for breaking into vehicles parked on open grounds opposite the Friday Market, Jahra, the Mubarakiya Market and Ardhiya Industrial Area, reports Al-Anba daily.
The arrest came in Farwaniya after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received several complaints which led to the formation of a security team.
The team immediately began intensive investigations and managed to identify two Arabs who frequented the areas from where the thefts had taken place. When police seized them on suspicion, they looked confused and attempted to escape on foot. However, police seized them and referred them for interrogation during which they admitted to committing 17 car thefts by breaking the windows.
;They also admitted to selling the stolen stuffs, including cell phones, laptops, iPads, watches, and accessories to their partner and gave police information about him. They also guided police to some stolen goods which they had kept in their homes and a car of his accomplice.
When police seized the third partner, he admitted to buying the goods but said he was unaware that the goods were stolen by the duo. He added part of the stuff, believed to be worth thousands of dinars has already been shipped to his home country and the rest in his home in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. After taking all necessary measures, detectives searched the houses of the three suspects and seized a number of cell phones, iPads, laptops, handbags, routers, accessories and tools used in breaking into the cars The thieves have been referred to the authorities.
