Centers Inform Kuwaitis, Expats On Vaccination Schedule

Citizens and expatriates residing in areas where the five health centers allotted for administering Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus are now receiving text messages about their vaccination schedule, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources from the Ministry of Health. Sources disclosed these health centers are as follows: Al-Siddiq and Musaed Al- Saleh in Shaab, Mutab Al- Shalahi in Ishbilia, Masayel and Naseem. Sources said these health centers administer Pfizer vaccine in the morning and evening; in addition to the Pfizer vaccine allocated for every governorate which continue to provide vaccination services regularly.

Sources affirmed that 2,000 citizens and expatriates receive Pfizer vaccine in these centers daily – 400 in each center; thereby, easing pressure on Kuwait Vaccination Center at the exhibition grounds in Mishref. Sources added the Sheikh Jaber Bridge Vaccination Center will open soon and this will greatly contribute to ongoing efforts to accelerate the vaccination process. Sources went on to say that the ministry started the third phase of the field vaccination units campaign recently when workers in salons for men and women were vaccinated.

Sources disclosed the field units vaccinated about 75,000 people during the first and second phases of the campaign, indicating these units will go to Kuwait International Airport soon to vaccinate workers at the airport, airline companies and Directorate General of Civil Aviation, as well as workers in the vegetables, Mubarakiya other markets. Sources added the ministry has intensified its efforts in order to reach herd immunity within the next few months, while stressing the need for more segments of the society to register on the vaccination platform to ensure the required doses are procured for them based on the priorities specified earlier.
