Cemeteries To Open From 5 Am-6 Pm’

Kuwait Municipality Director General Engr Ahmed Al-Manfuhi issued a circular regarding the opening of cemeteries during Eid Al-Fitr, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to the circular, cemeteries will be open from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm during the holiday; while stressing the need for everyone to remain committed to the health regulations such as wearing face masks, social distancing and avoiding contact with those attending burial rites, if any. It emphasized the need for cemetery workers to avoid interacting with the visitors. Al-Manfouhi also stressed the need to continue the strict implementation of precautionary and preventive measures.

Meanwhile, Director of Public Sanitation and Road Works Department at the Kuwait Municipality branch in Jahra Governorate Faisal Al-Otaibi said the supervisory team in the department carried out intensive field tours in Wafra Agricultural Area within a month; resulting in the transfer and lifting of 34,200 cubic meters of waste materials and debris, as well as 18 abandoned cars and spare parts, after taking the necessary legal measures, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a press statement, Al-Otaibi affirmed that the supervisory team at the department is focusing on the cleaning and clearing of roads to maintain the refined landscape of the governorate. He said this is in line with the directives of the higher management to raise the public sanitation level in the area; hence, the campaign to remove road obstructions that distort the overall image of the area.
