Caught Napping

Police have arrested an unidentified 20-year-old for consuming drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the arrest came after someone informed the security authorities that a person was sleeping inside his vehicle opposite a fast food restaurant in the Capital Governorate.

Securitymen rushed to the spot and tried to wake him by knocking on the glass next to the driver’s seat, and when the young man failed to respond, securitymen opened the door of the car and got the smell of cigarette smoke. The youth who appeared abnormal was then taken to the area police station and put behind bars.

The youth allegedly pleaded with the securitymen to release him saying his parents will be shocked to know he is a drug addict. He also said, “I don’t have an ID but I am Iranian.”
