On behalf of his client Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al- Sabah, Lawyer Emad Al-Saif has filed a lawsuit against the user of the Twitter account “@Dasman” due to messages posted on the account which contained lies and defamed his client, charges of which are punishable by the law.

Lawyer Al-Saif affirmed that the move to file this case comes as a deterrent to anyone who would be tempted to tarnish reputations and violate the dignity of others.

Also, the Court of Appeals has imposed a fine of KD 3,000 on journalist Hamid Bouyabis after he was found guilty of attributing false news on His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah.

Also representing Sheikh Nasser was Lawyer Emad Al-Seif who said the defendant used words which are deemed offensive to his client in a manner that undermines his client’s reputation and dignity, adding that such crimes are punishable by the laws which govern cybercrime offenses.
