Cars Seized At Makeshift Garage For Drifters Vehicles
Officers from the Traffic Operations Sector of Ministry of Interior raided a large plot in Amghara area where sports cars used by reckless drivers were being repaired illegally. During the raid, they seized six violating vehicles.
In a press release, Ministry of Interior explained that Jahra Rescue Police Department followed up the activities in the plot where sports cars were being repaired illegally without the required license.
It had received information that these vehicles were used for dangerous stunts and reckless driving that endanger the lives of the motorists and pedestrians. After obtaining necessary permission, the officers raided the suspected plot and found six vehicles that were in violation of the traffic regulations.
Some of these vehicles had GCC number plates while others either did not have any number plates or had fakes ones. Also, a store selling spare parts for racing cars was also found in the plot.
The seized vehicles have been referred to the seized-vehicle garage. Details of the owners of these vehicles have been collected, and necessary steps will be taken to summon them for questioning. Also, securitymen are taking necessary steps to find and arrest those in charge of the plot where sports cars were being repaired without proper authorization
