Capt Rejects Moh Request To Extend Tender Contract
The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has rejected the request of the Ministry of Health to extend the tender contract for the operation, maintenance and repair of the automated monitoring systems and their accessories in the ministry’s various hospitals and health centers, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable sources.
The source added a request was submitted to the CAPT for the extension of the contract for six months starting from the beginning of January. The reason for the rejection, according to sources, is due to the ministry’s failure to submit its recommendations and interpretations related to the tender before the beginning of the new year.
The sources said that the contract is about the “automatic” follow-up of patients in the intensive care rooms and the various medical operations and departments, especially during the power outages for any reason. The ministry is currently seeking to raise the tempo of its recommendations, and held more than one meeting with officials of the Ministry of Finance and the CAPT, in order to obtain an extension of the contract, or even float a new tender to any party for the implementation of the service over the next 3 years.
