Cabinet Follows Up On Developments About The Health Situation In Country
The Cabinet held its weekly meeting this afternoon at Seif Palace, headed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah said the following: At the beginning of its meeting, the Cabinet followed up on developments about the health situation in the country, and in this regard, he listened to an explanation given by the Minister of Oil, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health, Dr Muhammad Abdul Latif Al-Faris, about the latest developments and statistics on the numbers of injuries and deaths and who receives treatment in intensive care until its history, which is still declining. The Council also took note of the precautionary measures taken by the State of Kuwait to address this virus, as a campaign was launched to provide the third activated dose of the anti-Covid 19 vaccine according to priority and for the age group 18 years and above, and after six months have passed since the second dose, with the aim of providing the best ways to protect against Covid-19 disease. The Council of Ministers once again called on all citizens and residents not to be lenient in adhering to health guidelines in order to preserve their health and safety, to preserve the positive indicators that have been achieved and to ensure a safe and stable return to normal life.
Recommendations
Then the Council of Ministers discussed the recommendations received from the Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergency, and the Council of Ministers decided to approve the establishment of exhibitions and activities of a licensed commercial nature in open outdoor areas in accordance with the special health requirements determined by the Ministry of Health, starting from Sunday 17/10/2021. Then the Council of Ministers discussed the recommendation of the Public Services Committee regarding the report of the Follow-up Committee on the implementation of the railway project in the State of Kuwait. The Council was informed of the presentation submitted by the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport regarding the implementation plan for the first phase of the project, the proposed timetable in this regard, the obstacles that may face the project and the recommendations related to the Council of Ministers decided to assign the tasks of the railway network project with all its components and stages to the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport.
Obstacles
The Council of Ministers also decided to assign the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, in coordination with the (Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the Ministry of Finance – and the authorities it deems appropriate) to quickly take measures to remove all obstacles belonging to the relevant authorities that obstruct the northern and southern regional road and the railway track, and to take all of it would arrange the current conditions, follow up what is done regarding the agreements of the State of Kuwait in this regard, in order to ensure its commitment to them in the future, arrange the necessary funds for these works, and determine the timetable for the project. The Council of Ministers praised the Deputy Prime Minister and former advisor at the Diwan of His Highness the Prime Minister, Faisal Al-Haji Boukhdour, who passed away recently, recalling with pride his virtues, good deeds and national gifts in many of the official sites that he imitated, asking God Almighty to bless him with his vast mercy and satisfaction and dwell in him.
