Cabinet Allocate 75 Million Dinars To Purchase A Vaccine For The Coronavirus

The Council of Ministers held its extraordinary meeting this afternoon through video communication chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Prime Minister. The Council of Ministers renewed an invitation to everyone to adhere to the requirements of public health and physical distance to limit the spread of the epidemic

The Cabinet listened to an explanation provided by the Minister of Health, which included a presentation of statistics and indicators related to the total number of injuries that were proven to be infected by Coffed 19 according to regions and nationalities, as well as the numbers of recoverers and deaths and from the areas of treatment, where it was noted that the number of injuries among citizens as a result of contact has continued.

The Council decided to entrust the Ministry of Health in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and take the necessary measures to provide an amount of 75 million Kuwaiti dinars in the budget of the Ministry of Health to purchase a vaccine for the emerging corona virus.

The Cabinet was informed that the committee would take the executive status of the proposals submitted by the Supreme Committee for Economic Analysis and the measures taken by the concerned authorities in this regard, and the Council decided to urge the concerned authorities to accelerate the support of the private sector.

The Council examined the request of the General Authority for Manpower to discuss the mechanism necessary for the maintenance of employment for officials in Chapter Three and Five, and the Council of Ministers decided to approve an increase in the budget of the General Manpower Authority by an amount of about 240 million dinars, and to assign the Minister of Finance in coordination with the National Assembly in this regard, in the interest of the Council of Ministers To address the differences in the labor market during the conditions caused by Corona's corpse, to preserve the gains of national employment in the private sector and to enhance job security for the elderly on Chapter Five to ensure that they are not used from the repercussions of the crisis, taking into account their circumstances and family costs.

The government spokesperson and head of the Government Communication Center Tariq Al-Muzram confirmed today, Thursday, that based on the proposal of Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah, the cabinet decided today to end the isolation imposed on the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula regions, starting next Thursday, at 5 am.
