Breaking News | Filipinos Can Fly Home Without Quarantine

Big News for Filipinos in UAE as UAE has been included on the Philippine’s Green list countries, The good news is that from November 17, the fully vaccinated Overseas Filipino workers can finally fly back home without having to undergo facility-based quarantine of 14 days and more.

Previous Philippines Rules:

Earlier the GCC countries inclusion in the green list including UAE, fully vaccinated OFWs departing from UAE were required to stay in a hotel or a facility for 14 days to quarantine until they received a negative PCR test taken on their fifth day upon arrival. They are then required to undergo home quarantine until their 10th day.

New Rules for Filipinos:

Now as per the latest updates, the arriving Filipinos and foreigners will just have to present a negative test result from an RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before their flight.

Upon arrival, no facility-based quarantine will be required but the passenger is enjoined to self-monitor (at home or own facility) for any symptoms until the 14th day.

Hotel isolation will still be mandatory for certain categories of travellers whereas fully vaccinated Filipinos who won’t be able to present a test result may opt to get screened upon arrival and undergo facility-based quarantine until they get a negative result.
