Bid To Smuggle Drugs Obstructed

Air Cargo customs officers have seized air parcels which arrived in the names of six Kuwaitis. The parcels contained cocktail of drugs — marijuana concentrate (oil, wax), chemical paste, and Lyrica powder.

A customs source told the daily marijuana oil was found in a postal parcel that arrived from the United States in the name of a Kuwait, a quantity of chemical paste weighing 1,350 grams in two parcels that arrived from Canada in the names of other Kuwaitis, whose identities have not been disclosed and the Lyrica powder weighing 1,014 grams arrived from China addressed to a Kuwaiti.

The source pointed the marijuana oil was packed in 198 ampoules, three boxes containing marijuana wax were hidden in shoes cleaning tools. Air cargo men also foiled an attempt of unidentified person to smuggle 550 grams of chemical paste into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a customs source, the air cargo men suspected a postal parcel which arrived from China, and after opening it found 550 grams of chemical paste.
