Bid To Assist & Rehabilitate Minors Suffering From Learning Difficulties
The Public Authority for Minors Affairs (PAMA) signed Wednesday a memorandum of understanding with the Child Evaluation and Education Center (CEEC) to assist minors who suffer from learning difficulties and rehabilitate them to overcome those difficulties. In a press statement on this occasion, the Authority’s Acting Director-General Hamad Al-Barjas affirmed the authority’s keenness on its minor children and those under its care in providing all the support that enhances their chances of success in their educational path and overcoming all the difficulties they may face, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in Kuwait and abroad.
Part of the signing of the MoU between PAMA and CEEC to help minors
Al-Barjas explained that the memorandum aims to help minors who suffer from learning difficulties by identifying them, early diagnosis of their condition, and supporting various efforts to rehabilitate and help them overcome those difficulties. He added that the authority has prepared a multi-pronged program to provide support to its children in this field, including paying registration fees and diagnostic and educational tests for minors who meet the requirements of periodic aid from the three charitable funds under its tutelage. He indicated that the terms of the memorandum of understanding include the center’s coordination with the authority in organizing the reception of minors and providing them with service and giving them priority in the dates of diagnostic and educational tests for identifying learning difficulties.
He pointed out that the center, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding, will organize rehabilitation and training programs for specialized workers in the Public Authority for Minors Affairs with the aim of raising their efficiency in sorting out cases of learning difficulties according to research and modern curricula. The center will also organize lectures for minors to raise awareness in this regard. Al-Barjas stressed the importance of this project in achieving many noble goals, foremost of which is helping minors under the auspices of the authority who suffer from learning difficulties and opening charitable channels under the auspices of the authority.
