Beware Of Callers Offering Cash Rewards
The Secretary- General of Kuwait Banking Association Dr Hamad Al-Hassawi has called on all banks clients to be cautious when responding to telephone calls, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a press statement, Al-Hassawi explained there are many fraudsters out there who ask for account and secret pin numbers under the pretext of depositing (imaginary) financial reward in their bank accounts or under some other pretexts.
He stressed banks never ask their clients for their account numbers or secret numbers to complete any transactions through phone calls in any case. He pointed out that due to the banks’ keenness to protect the interests and money of the clients, the association calls on them to follow the instructions of local banks and the warnings published on their sites and in the social media.
