Bedoun Suffocated To Death By Ex-convict, Gets Capital Punishment

As a result of suffocating to death a bedoun man born in 1987, the Criminal Court headed by Counselor Abdullah Al-Othman has sentenced a military man to death.

It was reported to a local Arabic daily that after the Interior Ministry's operations room received information about the discovery of a corpse in Julai'a, staff from the Criminal Evidence Department rushed to the scene and found blood on the victim's body which indicated that he had been suffocated to death.

According to the daily, this is the first murder case of 2022, adding that the convict serving a 15-year sentence for an unidentified crime was pardoned after 10 years.

It is alleged that the man confessed to committing the crime during interrogation. The crime is recorded as premeditated murder. The lawyers for the plaintiff have filed for 5,001 dinars as temporary civil compensation.
