Bangladeshi Expat Was Arrested For Offering Domestic Workers As Home Nurses

A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested for offering domestic workers as home nurses to several Kuwaiti citizens at a monthly rate of KD 600 per month for each nurse, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media explained that the General Department for Residency Security Affairs had received information about the Bangladeshi expatriate who was running an illegal nursing services business, and had formed a team for investigations.

They discovered that the suspect has been providing nurses to Kuwaiti citizens at a rate of KD 600 per month, using documents and stamps of a private company.

However, these nurses turned out to be domestic workers who were provided with nurse uniforms by the suspect. After taking necessary legal measures, the suspect was arrested along with a driver and a nurse who confessed that their visas are under article No. 20 and that they had run away from their sponsors.

The team discovered that the Bangladeshi suspect has an office from where he conducted the business of offering illegal nursing services.

They raided the office and found receipts that were signed by Kuwaiti citizens. Necessary action was taken to call these citizens and inform them that the nurses working in their homes are absconding domestic workers.
