Ban On Setting Up House Tents Continues

 The official spokesperson of Kuwait Municipality Muhammad Al-Mutairi affirmed that the ban on setting up tents in front of houses in private residential areas is still ongoing due to the current situation resultant from the repercussions of the COVID-19 crisis, reports Al-Qabas daily. In a press statement, Al-Mutairi explained that this ban continues based on the decisions of the health authorities.

The implementation of precautionary and preventive health measures in compliance with health requirements will not be taken lightly and is required under such circumstances by both citizens and expatriates. This contributes to limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus by making sure to stay away from gatherings, adhering to social distancing, wearing masks, and using sanitizers to preserve the safety of everyone.

Meanwhile, Head of the Capital Municipality’s emergency team Zaid Al-Enezi denied that discussions are ongoing to reconsider allowing people to install spring camps in front of houses in private housing areas. He stressed that the decision to prevent tents is still in place, adding that he hopes the citizens will comply with the directives of the competent authorities.
