Awqaf Suspends Holidays And Weekly Rest For Imams And Muezzins During Ramadan

The undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) for the Mosques Sector, Muhammad Al-Mutairi, issued an administrative circular directed the departments of mosques regarding the suspension of holidays and weekly rest for imams and muezzins during the blessed month of Ramadan, Al Anbaa reported.

According to the circular, Based on the requirements of the public interest, the following was decided:

To stop granting periodic and special leave to imams and muezzins during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Stopping the weekly rest granted to imams and muezzins during the blessed month of Ramadan.
