Around 12,000 Declare Assets, Anti-corruption Body Discloses

Kuwait’s anti-corruption body said on Saturday that a total of 12,000 personal disclosure statements have been turned in this year, which is equivalent to 95 percent of people subject to the law. Kuwait’s anti-corruption watchdog disclosed the information to mark the UN’s “International Anti-Corruption Day”, which falls on Dec 9 of each year, it said in a statement. Such initiatives are significant given the fact that corruption continues to run rampant all over the globe, the statement added, urging the international community to the take the measures needed to crack down on the social ill.
