Kuwait Expatriates Stranded Abroad May Be Able Return Soon
Informed sources revealed to Al-Rai that there is a trend to allow the return of the stranded residents abroad to the country in the coming period, explaining that the procedure begins by registering their data on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to study their situation in preparation for giving them the green light in coordination with the Kuwaiti embassies abroad.
The sources said that “the concerned authorities will grant permission to enter the country for humanitarian cases, especially children who have been separated from their families due to the crisis or parents stuck abroad”, noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “allowed entry to some humanitarian cases and those who have a first degree relative of nationalities Several, the majority of whom are Gulf, Egyptian and Jordanian, some of whom were on vacation and some studying abroad. ”
The sources confirmed that “the number of those who entered the country as part of the evacuation trips for the Kuwaitis, since the closing of the Kuwaiti airspace on February 29th, is approximately 4,350 people”, distributed in several categories, such as a Kuwaiti wife, a Kuwaiti husband, Kuwaiti children, or someone with a close relationship of degree The first is resident in the country, and they are domestic workers who were accompanied by their sponsors.
She explained that the Ministry of Interior and Civil Aviation are not the two authorities concerned with allowing the entry of residents into the country, but rather are the two implementing agencies of the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health in this regard.
