Arab Drivers Were Arrested For Attempting To Smuggle Large Quantities Of Commodities

The Arab drivers of two heavy vehicles were arrested for attempting to smuggle large quantities of commodities subsidized by the Kuwaiti government for its citizens as well as 90 latest smartphones out of the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily Salmi Customs Supervisor Mater Al- Saeedi explained that customs officers at Salmi border checkpoint suspected two heavy vehicles that were heading to the same Arab country and inspected them to find large quantities of milk powder, rice, oil, tomato paste and other commodities that are subsidized by the Kuwaiti government for its citizens, as well as 90 latest smartphones. He expressed appreciation for the level of alertness of Salmi customs officers, revealing that the drivers were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
