Approximately 1,080 Inmates Benefit From The Amiri Pardon

Amiri Amnesty was issued recently on the occasion of the 61st National Day, benefiting 1,080 Central Prison inmates.

According to a local Arabic daily, 530 prisoners will have fines refunded and 200 will be released immediately, including 70 Kuwaitis and 130 residents.

According to the sources, the decree will become effective from today, Wednesday. Those whose status is covered by amnesty will be released immediately, whereas foreigners whose status is immediate will be deported.
